Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at this Gite. It is very well equipped with everything you could be and more. The games selection was a hit with our son as was the gorgeous pool. The dog enjoyed staying and meeting the resident dogs who are all very friendly. Feeding the goats is a wonderful experience. Tim and Karen were extremely helpful prior to our stay helping with lots of requests and emails I sent (sorry Karen!) Karen even made a scrumptious birthday cake as a surprise for my son. The owners go out of their way to make the stay as good as possible. From dog walks to restaurant recommendations they were very helpful. We would love to return for the peace and quiet in beautiful countryside with a wonderful comfortable gite. Thank you!!

Wonderful spacious barn conversion

Set in an idyllic location with beautiful views this spacious converted barn was superb for all our requirements. The kitchen was especially well equipped which was useful as I was poorly.

Very safe environment for our little working cocker too.

Great house, wonderful hosts, magnificent area and views.

The five of us spend two weeks in the house, we had a great time. House is very well equipped. Karen and Tim are ready to help and provide directions to stores, restaurants etc, but don’t intrude on your privacy. House got magnificent views. Great area for cycling and walking. Nicely rural and quiet. Can truly recommend.

Beautiful renovated barn in tranquil, rural France.

The property is beautifully decorated with spacious rooms throughout. The kitchen, very well equipped, is a lovely area where the whole family can socialise. The outside space has 2 patio areas to fully enjoy the Sun throughout the day and is safe for the dog to play in. No need to fight over the shower as all 3 bedrooms are en suite. The owner’s, right next door were most welcoming giving us valuable information on the local area and booked the vets appointment for us. The welcome basket a lovely selection for supper after a long drive and breakfast next morning and a real treat of a local bottle of bubbly! The pool just topped it all off. Thank you for making our holiday so relaxing and comfortable.

Excellent sejour

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au gîte. Un accueil vraiment formidable malgré les difficultés de langue car les propriétaires étant anglais et nous sommes français. Un gîte tout confort et très spacieux, et une vue magnifique. La région est très belle et de nombreuses choses à faire. Que dire de plus tout était parfait.

Beautiful, stylish Gite. Great holiday for all our family.

We really couldn’t fault anything about the holiday. From the communication from the owners prior arrival to sadly leaving for home we had an amazing experience. We eventually got there quite late to find a fantastic welcome pack of essentials and the odd luxury (local fiz and goats cheese from the goats on site). The gite is very well equipped with not only English television but also broadband if you need to communicate. Alternatively there is a supply of good books, DVD’s and views to die for if you just want to forget about home for a while.

Karen and Tim, the owners, had good local knowledge and were always happy to help if required. Our children loved the animals around and about the Gite and the farm next door and the pool. We loved the peace and quiet (when the kids finally went to bed) and of course the wine, food and the Frenchness (not sure this is a word) of the whole area. In short our best week in France so far.

Gorgeous property and beautiful location…

We received a warm welcome from the owners when we arrived at the gite. It is a lovely stone building, which has been beautifully renovated and fully equipped. The views are stunning. The perfect choice if you are looking for a holiday of complete relaxation in the stunning Burgundy countryside. Wholly recommended!

Lovely peaceful location – the perfect place to get away from it all.

We had a fabulous time at Gite Hauteloup and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house has great character, it is a nice relaxing getaway, while being close enough to drive to places in the Morvan National Park and Loire area. Inside the renovated farmhouse, there is a lot of living space, large enough to stay with family or friends. We were four adults and two dogs and had plenty of room.

We felt at home right from the start. Even dog beds and water bowls are provided! The house is located at the top of a hill with great view and there are no other people around except an incredibly nice farmer couple nearby, who can supply you with fresh eggs and garden-fresh vegetables, just ask them! We loved cooking in the beautiful and well-equipped kitchen, eating in the garden and sitting there in the evenings, it was so peaceful.

Above all else, the hospitality and welcome that we received from the owners, Karen and Tim, was without parallel. They were very attentive, helpful and could not have been nicer to us. On arrival at Gite Hauteloup, we found an awesome welcome present in the kitchen, consisting of Burgundy Cremant, home made goat cheese and baguette and much more. Fantastic! Thank you so much!! The house is about a 15 minutes drive away from Luzy and Bourbon Lancy, where you can find supermarkets, bakeries & other shops. so as there is no bakery in walking distance, always think about buying a second baguette for your breakfast the next morning!

Gite Hauteloup is surrounded by a remarkably beautiful landscape, you will find small villages, friendly people, great hiking trails, lots of nature and hardly any traffic. You can feel very relaxed here, so we can definitely recommend the house to everybody who is looking for a nice and quiet home in a beautiful environment. It is a very great place to spend time in Burgundy!
